Jay Ebby East is no ordinary singer, songwriter, guitarist and record producer. He resides in the town of Colchester, England and was brought up in a musical family with his Dad who also was a keen musician. With a musical style reminiscent of Oasis, Neil Young and Richard Ashcroft it is evident in Jay’s music that he has been influenced by this classic generation of rock.
It has not always being rock and roll for Jay. He escaped from a drink and drugs addiction and flipped his life around after been given another chance. He then catapulted himself to incredible heights, even signing a new record deal.
In 2021, Jay has set out with a fresh start and is working with singer, songwriter and producer Daniel James, who has previously played at a Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds show, as well as performing at the 02 arena and the Royal Albert Hall in London. They have now teamed up to work on a musical community project for the National Health Service (NHS) during the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Jay has extensive coverage of his music on national radio, newspapers and other radio stations throughout the world. He has frequently been interviewed by the BBC. His music has been played in Premiership football stadiums as well as gaining national media coverage. To top it all off, he was tipped as a ‘genius’ by Fender guitars.
